Vandoren OPTIMUM AL5 Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece

The Vandoren OPTIMUM series was the fruit of research on both external shape (particularly the beak) and sound, in order to meet the needs of today’s saxophone players. OPTIMUM mouthpieces are favourites of classical saxophonists.

The AL5 mouthpiece has all of the same sound qualities of the AL3, but it has a slightly larger tip opening. It offers a perfect balance when used with no. 3 strength reeds. It has a 168 (1/100 mm) tip opening and a medium-long facing length.
