The Wind Section are thrilled to present the Yamaha Saxophones Discovery Day with Ellie Sax, one of the world's leading house and dance music saxophonists.
Fresh from some of the world's hippest festivals and most exclusive events, Ellie brings her Yamaha sax and her unique style to Edinburgh.
Get insights from Ellie on how to apply classical music training to house and dance music, tips on soloing, learning relevant scales, how to unlearn your jazz phrases and how listening to other players can inform your playing.
Bring your sax along on the night to get some tips from Ellie and join in the jam session at the end of the night.
It's going to be a great night and one not to be missed!

About the Venue
The Voodoo Rooms is a multi-award-winning cocktail bar, restaurant and events space immersed in opulent Georgian decor and style.
Our event will be held in The Speakeasy, a self-contained, hidden gem accessed from the first floor landing of The Voodoo Rooms. With its classy black & gold decor, cabaret-style seating and dedicated bar, this will be the ideal spot to watch Ellie Sax in action!
The Voodoo Rooms is located in the heart of Edinburgh city centre, on the block directly behind the new Apple Store at the east end of Princes Street.
This is just a short walk from Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station, Edinburgh Bus Station and the tram stop at St Andrew Square.
